MORGAN COUNTY — The Sadler Room in the Morgan County Administration Building was packed with people Dec. 31 as officials, family and friends gathered for the official swearing-in ceremonies for those who won the 2024 General Election.
Most of those who put their right hand in the air and their left hand on a Bible were incumbents who coasted to victory after either being unopposed entirely or winning the primary election back in May 2024.
But a few challengers were in the mix as well, starting with Morgan County Councilman Joe Crone, who is the new face on the council. He was also the top vote-getter in both the primary and general elections as five candidates vied for the three at-large council positions.
