MOORESVILLE — The building housing Gray Brothers Cafeteria — regionally renowned for 80 years of serving home cooking and acclaimed pies, and itself a Mooresville landmark — is up for sale for $10 million as the family company seems to be looking to relocate outside Morgan County in its next business phase.
A real estate listing for the property went live on Saturday, and speculation quickly grew on Facebook that the business would move out of Mooresville.
On Monday, the company’s third-generation co-owner was quoted in Indianapolis media, and the business released a short statement.
“We do know that we will be reopening, and obviously relocating, because we won’t be at the Mooresville site,” Jason Gray told the Indianapolis Business Journal. “But where and what exactly that looks like — right now, it’s still too early in the game, other than knowing that we will be doing something else.”
