MOORESVILLE — The historic building in the heart of downtown Mooresville that was the previous home of beloved restaurant Ralph & Ava’s was sold to a new owner Dec. 31.
Shane Williams, the property owner since about 2011, sold the building to BrightSpot Community Housing Operator Chad Swinford after Ralph & Ava’s had already closed.
“I had wanted to buy the building for a long time, as far back as when Shane bought it,” Swinford said. “I didn’t have the money at the time, and he did.”
Located at 6 W. Main Street, Ralph & Ava’s had for years been a cherished part of the Mooresville community. Right off the main downtown intersection, the restaurant frequently hosted live music and packed the house, receiving rave reviews from patrons.
