MONROVIA — There was a bit of disagreement among the body, but the Monroe-Gregg School Board narrowed its list of firms for a potential facility study at its regular monthly meeting Monday evening.
The board had previously met for a work session Jan. 30 and heard from six architectural firms about what they could offer the school district in terms of building enhancements and other improvements. Monrovia is undergoing rapid transformations, and the district’s buildings are already at or near capacity.
Firms represented at the work session included Schmidt Associates, CSO, Gibraltar Design, Lancer Associates, SitelogIQ and Fanning Howey. Each firm was given 20 minutes to pitch the services their company could provide, with some offering a free facility study, and others charging a flat fee.
