MORGAN COUNTY — The forecast had snow on the radar for nearly a week leading up to last Sunday, and boy, was the forecast right. The area received the largest single-storm snowfall in four years, prompting back-to-back snow days for area students and extending Christmas vacation a little longer.
At about 10 a.m. Sunday, the first flakes started to fall across the county, and they didn’t stop for more than 24 hours, finally tapering off just after noon on Monday.
When the snow finally settled, up to 10 inches of snow fell in some parts of the county, and nearly every corner of the county received at least 7 inches.
