NOTICE TO BIDDERS 

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Morgan County, Indiana will receive sealed bids for:

2025 Ballinger Roadway Improvements & Culvert Replacement Over Goose Creek 

Scope of work: The existing Ballinger Road will be realigned south to eliminate sharp horizontal curves within 900 linear feet of project length. The existing bridge will be removed and replaced with aluminum structural plate pipe south of existing structure on realigned Ballinger Road over Goose Creek. The Ballinger Road will be reconstructed, drainage structures to be replaced, approaches and driveway reconstructed in Morgan County as more fully set forth in the Contact Documents. The award will be based on lowest responsible and responsive bid for the total amount of all work.  Projects must be completed within Morgan County by October 31st, 2025.  Work shall be completed in accordance with the Contract Documents. Contractors shall comply with all requirements of IC-5-16-13.

The bid shall include the furnishing of all materials, equipment, and labor as indicated in the Contract Documents.  Any and all permits are to be procured by the successful bidder.  Bids shall be properly submitted and executed in accordance with the Contract Documents.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 

 

The Plan Commission of the City of Martinsville will consider a Preliminary Plat, for property along Artesian Avenue. The parcel (55-13-10-200-001.003-021) is being developed to become; 34 Work Force Development rent to own apartments, 6 Habitat homes, and a Child Care Center. A complete copy of the application and the Preliminary Plat can be viewed at the Building Inspector’s Office located at 59 S. Jefferson Street, Martinsville, IN 46151 between the hours of 8-12 and 1-4 M-F

The Plan Commission’s meeting will be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall (59 S. Jefferson Street, Martinsville, IN 46151) at 7:00 o’clock p.m., on the 25th day of February 2025.

Any interested persons appearing at the meeting, shall have a right to be heard.

NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of Martinsville Civil City, Morgan County, Indiana, that the proper legal officers will consider Amendment to Sewer Use Ordinance 2025-1897 at the Council Chambers, City Hall (59 S. Jefferson Street, Martinsville, IN 46151) at 7:00 o’clock p.m., on the 24th of February 2025.

Taxpayers appearing at the meeting shall have a right to be heard.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The Trustee of Clay Township of Morgan County of Indiana is accepting bids for the following cemeteries: Robb Hill Cemetery (Cemetery behind Fire Station at corner of Robb Hill and Beech Grove Rd) and New Butterfield Cemetery on Centerton Rd. Bids are for the lawn care

maintenance of the cemeteries for bi-weekly maintenance and holidays for the 2025 season year. All bids are to be sent to the Trustee of Clay Township of Morgan County at 3411 E. Centerton Rd, Mooresville 46158. All bids must be sealed and will be opened by the Trustee and the Township Board. All bids must be received by 9 p.m. on March 12th 2025.

Public Comment Period Open

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management is accepting public comments on the Voluntary Remediation Work Plan for the Martinsville Former Manufacturing Gas Plant (FMGP) site, located at the intersection of West Highland Street and North Mulberry Street in Martinsville, Indiana. 

IDEM is seeking public comments on the Remediation Work Plan submitted by Duke Energy Indiana, LLCSite #6031001; ACS #V30RT as part of their fulfillment of a voluntary cleanup.

The Remediation Work Plan and all site documents are available on the internet at:
