NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF PROPOSED ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO THE TAXPAYERS OF MORGAN COUNTY, INDIANA, THAT THE  MORGAN COUNTY COUNCIL AT THEIR REGULAR MEETING PLACE AT 6:30 P.M. MONDAY,  AUGUST 4, 2025, WILL CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATIONS IN EXCESS  OF THE BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 2025. CUMULATIVE CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT FUND (1138)  $15,075.00, 1138. 49002.00000.0301 AMBULANCE LEASE/PURCHASE RAINY DAY FUND (1186)  $210,183.56 1186.44050.00000.0068 MONROE TWP EMS STATION, $1,500,000.00  1186.40002.00000.0068 PROPERTY ACQUISITION.  

TAXPAYERS APPEARING AT THE MEETING SHALL HAVE A RIGHT TO BE HEARD. APPROPRIATIONS, AS  FINALLY MADE WILL BE REFERRED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE. THE  BOARD WILL MAKE A WRITTEN DETERMINATION AS TO THE SUFFICIENCY OF FUNDS TO SUPPORT  THE APPROPRIATIONS MADE WITHIN (15) DAYS OF RECEIPT OF A CERTIFIED COPY OF THE ACTION  TAKEN.

PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice to Bidders

Notice is hereby given that the City of Martinsville, herein referred to as the Owner, will receive sealed bids to construct a new restroom/storage building at the Venue Park (behind the Band Shell & Stage) at 183 N Jefferson Street.

The project was designed by Miller Architects and involves furnishing and constructing a split-faced block building measuring 7’ x 24’ with MEP included. The facility will house the artist restroom and a storage room.

The bidder is responsible for; inspecting the project site, determining water, sewer, power connections, and thoroughly understanding the requirements of this contract.

Sealed bids are invited and may be forwarded by mail or in person to the City of Martinsville, Attn. Gary Oakes, until 4:00 PM on August 11, 2025. Bids received after such hour will be returned unopened. Bids will be opened and publicly read during the Board of Works meeting that evening at 6:30 PM. Bids will be taken under advisement for review by the Owner & Designer, with an award on August 25, 2025.

Copies of the drawings and specifications for the Work are available upon request from goakes@martinsville.in.gov or hard copies can be picked up at the City Superintendent’s office at 59 S. Jefferson Street in Martinsville, IN 46151.

Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the title of the project and the name and address of the bidder, and include the State Board of Accounts Form 96.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any and all bids.
