Bray talks new governor, education, healthcare

MORGAN COUNTY — Austerity is the order of the day for the state of Indiana.
The Indiana General Assembly has concluded the first half of the 2025 legislative session, the time when bills passed in the House of Representatives and the Senate are moved to the opposite chamber for review and possible amendments.
After both chambers have agreed upon the same bill, it can go to the governor to be signed into law.
With the first half of this process now over, State Sen. Rod Bray, a Martinsville native and president pro tempore of the Senate, visited The Correspondent office last Thursday to discuss the bills the Senate had passed this cycle, and what they are looking forward to coming out of the House.
