Town of Mooresville

The Town of Mooresville will be accepting bids for cemetery maintenance for the 2025-26 seasons.

Bids are to be dropped off at the Clerk Treasurers office at 4 E. Harrison St., Mooresville, IN.

  • Bids will be accepted in the Clerk Treasures office until Friday, February 14th @

3:30pm for the maintenance of The Town of Mooresville Cemeteries on Franklin

Street and Washington Street. The bids will be opened at the Town Council Meeting on

Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 6:30 pm.

 

Bids shall include the cost for:

  • Spring clean-up, removal of limbs, trash and leaves.
  • Mowing of the cemeteries grass, keeping the length under 4 inches at all times.
  • Trimming around stones to match the length of the rest of the grass area. This includes

all growth of any kind.

  • Trash pickup as well as misplaced flower arrangements.
  • Every effort to keep excessive grass clippings from accumulating on the headstones must

be made.

  • If stones are bumped or moved by mowing equipment they shall be replaced to the original position.
  • Any damage to stones caused by equipment or employees will be the responsibility of

the bid awardee. The Public Works Dept must be notified of each occurrence.

  • The creek on both sides of the bridge must be trimmed once a month.

Cemetery clean up may begin after March 1st of each calendar year.

NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING OF LAND OCCUPIERS

TO BE HELD FOR THE MORGAN COUNTY SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT

To all occupiers of lands lying within the boundaries of the Morgan County Soil and Water Conservation District, notice is hereby given that on the 19th day of February 2025, beginning at 6:00 pm, an annual meeting will be held for the purpose of making a full and due report of their activities and financial affairs since the last annual meeting and to elect supervisors for the Morgan County Soil and Water Conservation District of the State of Indiana.

In case of hazardous roads that severely restrict travel, the meeting will be rescheduled for the 20th day of February, 2025. If in doubt, listen to local radio or call (765) 349-2060. All land occupiers and other interested parties are entitled and invited to attend. RSVP is required. Free to attend. Donations will be accepted for meal offered.

The meeting will be held at the Morgan County Administration Building, 180 South Main Street, Martinsville, Indiana. Go to www.MorganCountySWCD.org or call (765) 349-2060 to confirm meeting schedule or to reserve meal tickets.

Notice of Intent

 

DGOGEminencein04242024, LLC (1906 E Battlefield Rd Springfield, MO 65804) is submitting a Notice of Intent to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management of our intent to comply with the requirements of 327 IAC 15-5 to discharge storm water from construction activities associated with the Dollar General Store located on N SR 42 in Eminence, IN 45456. Runoff from the project site will discharge to an unnamed tributary to Lake Ditch and Mill Creek approximately 1.5 miles to the west.
