NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

This is to inform you that the Morgan County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 6:30 pm in the Morgan County Administration Building located at 180 S. Main Street, Martinsville, Indiana to consider a petition submitted by Matthew Dunn.  

 

Petition D-25-19 is a development standard variance request to increase the maximum living area for an attached accessory dwelling unit. The subject property is located at 5055 Poff Road in Ashland Township, Morgan County, Indiana and is more particularly described as follows:

 

A part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section One (1), Township Twelve (12) North, Range Two (2) West of the Second Principal Meridian, Morgan County, Indiana. 

 

Interested persons desiring to present their views regarding this request will be provided an opportunity at the above-mentioned time and place. Information regarding this petition can be examined at the Morgan County Planning Department, 180 S. Main Street, Suite 204, Martinsville, Indiana during regular business hours. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY  INTO THE CITY OF MARTINSVILLE, MORGAN COUNTY, INDIANA PURSUANT TO  PETITION FOR VOLUNTARY ANNEXATION 

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to I.C. 36-4-3-5.1, that the petitioner, Sun Energy Farms,  LLC, by Owner, John Fewell, has filed with the Martinsville Common Council of the City of  Martinsville, Indiana, a Petition for Voluntary Annexation to adopt an Ordinance annexing  approximately 68.946 acres of land located in Morgan County, Indiana, and identified as Parcel  Numbers: 55-13-02-200-001.000-020 and 55-13-02-100-006.000-020 into the City of  Martinsville, those being more particularly described by the attached legal descriptions. 

The Common Council of the City of Martinsville will conduct a Public Hearing on this  Petition and proposed Ordinance to annex certain property into the City of Martinsville, and that  said Public Hearing shall be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025, in the Council  Chambers, 2nd Floor (Room 202), City Hall, 59 S. Jefferson Street, Martinsville, Indiana 46151.  The public is welcome to attend and present written or oral comments on this Petition and  proposed Ordinance. A copy of the Petition and proposed Ordinance is on file for public  inspection in the office of the Martinsville Planning Department, 59 S. Jefferson Street,  Martinsville, Indiana 46151.
