Can I get a ‘Bell, Yeah?’

MOORESVILLE — A white-haired man in a little blue car tries to get past the automated voice at the Taco Bell drivethru.
“I want to talk with the ‘Bell, Yeah Girl,’ “ the man says.
“Spice up your Friday,” says a human voice, 19-year-old Alexa Rutherford’s, as she comes on the drivethru speaker.
And after the order —  a chalupa, chicken soft taco, three crunchy tacos and a burrito supreme, if you are interested — she says, “Bell, Yeah.”
That’s “Bell,” not “H-e-double-hockey-sticks.” As she sometimes has to explain to customers, she is not cursing.
Instead, she’s trying to give taco buyers a little fun as they place their order.
