Notice to taxpayers of 

Brown Township, Morgan County, Indiana

 

Notice is hereby given to the Taxpayers of Brown Township, Morgan County, that said Township Board will hold a special meeting on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 5:00p.m., at the Trustee Office located at 471 N. Samuel Moore Parkway, Mooresville, Indiana.

The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss and consider incurring debt for the purchase of a new Fire Truck for Brown Township. The estimated cost of said equipment is $1,300,000. The Board will consider repayment of the loan over a five (5) year period from the Fire Equipment Bond Fund.

If the Township Board finds that a need for the loan does exist, a special order will be adopted, and taxpayers further notified by legal publication.

NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING OF THE COUNTY COUNCIL 

OF MORGAN COUNTY, INDIANA REGARDING THE DESIGNATION AND EXPANSION OF AN ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA

 

Notice is hereby given that the County Council (the “Council”) of Morgan County, Indiana (the “County”) will hold a public hearing (the “Public Hearing”) on October 6, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sadler Room of the Morgan County Government Center, located at 180 South Main Street, Martinsville, Indiana  46151.

 

On May 27, 2025, the Council adopted resolutions approving (i) an area, generally bounded by Keller Hill Road on the north, Anitoch Road on the east, and State Road 42 on the south, as an economic revitalization area (the “Original Area”), pursuant to IC 6-1.1-12.1 (the “Act”), and (ii) real property tax deductions under IC 6-1.1-12.1-4 for a data center campus to be constructed by Woodland Caribou LLC, for a period of ten years.  

 

On September 9, 2025, the Council, adopted a resolution (the “Resolution”) confirming the designation of the Original Area, as an economic revitalization area, and designating an additional area (the “Additional Area”, and collectively, with the Original Area, the “Area”) as an economic revitalization area.  Owners of real and personal property in the Area making application, subsequently approved by the Resolution of the Council, may receive real property tax abatement and/or personal property tax abatement pursuant to applicable procedures of the Act.  The Additional Area is generally located on the north and south sides of West Keller Hill Road, west of Antioch Road.  The Resolution also confirmed and approved real property tax deductions under IC 6-1.1-12.1-4 for a data center campus to be constructed by Woodland Caribou, LLC in the Area, for a period of ten years and in accordance with the schedule attached to such resolution.

 

A copy of the Resolution including a more detailed description of the Area to be declared and confirmed as an economic revitalization area is available to the general public and can be inspected in the office of the Morgan County Assessor located in Suite 218 of the Morgan County Government Center, located at 180 South Main Street, Martinsville, Indiana  46151.

 

At the Public Hearing, the Council will hear all remonstrances and objections from interested parties regarding the Resolution.  At the conclusion of the Public Hearing, the Council may take final action determining whether the qualifications for an economic revitalization area have been met, and the Council may confirm, modify and confirm, or rescind the Resolution.
